Ahoy, Pirate Master!

I have very low standards when it comes to reality TV. However, even I am having problems getting into "Pirate Master."
The premise: a motley crew of reality contestants boards a ship and searches for booty. It feels a little contrived and after 5 minutes watching it on my DVR, I turned it off.
However, this review makes me feel that I may have been too hasty: "Meanwhile, "Pirate Master," Mark Burnett's oddly captivating "Survivor" spin-off — which pits teams against each other in the fight for treasure — has found the ultimate reality show villain in John. With his long hair and rippling 12-pack abs, John made an impression before he even opened his mouth simply by being identified as both a scientist and exotic dancer."
A scientist AND an exotic dancer??? Maybe even "Pirate Master" deserves a second chance. =)
Wheel of Kidneys

A Dutch reality show will reveal which ailing contestant won a kidney transplant on a live broadcast this Friday.
The woman making the decision is the donor herself, known only as "Lisa" to the home audience. "Lisa" has an inoperable brain tumor and is using the show to decide who gets her organy goods.
Some say the show gives them the heebie jeebies, but the creators say they are bringing attention to how hard it is to get an organ.
I just feel bad for the contestants that aren't "chosen." Hopefully, there will be a twist ending and it will turn out that there are plenty of kidneys to go around.
(BTW, they aren't actually using a prize wheel. I just didn't want a picture of a kidney in my slide show. =)
An Officer and an Idiot

"The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman" wrapped up this week as Andy chose Tessa to be his future ex-fiancé. With so many break-ups, I'm amazed this show just keeps going. The host definitely implied there will be another season. They should go back to having 'The Bachelorette,' seems like they had more success.
Is Tricia still with that fireman? She seems like the type that would lose interest once the spotlight was gone.
I Heart Charla & Mirna

The Amazing Race is down the the final three and I'm putting all my money on Charla and Mirna.
I once thought it was strange that they spoke to everyone in accents for no reason, but now, I find it charming. Why not speak to everyone in an accent? At least they aren't boring and whiny like stinky Eric & Danielle.
Anyway, tune in next Sunday, for the exciting conclusion!
Producers choosing talent over drama?

It was a bad night for fans of reality TV weirdos last night, as not only did poor Sanjaya bite it, America's Next Top Model sent one of the good ones packing. I loved Jael for all her goofy weirdness. Please take a moment to remember her by watching 50 Cent push her into a pool.

This week on the Pussycat Doll show, Anastacia was sent home! She was my fave. After Sisely was booted, she was the only hope I had for the future.
Sisely, Anastacia and I are going to form a new super girl group called the Cabbage Patch Kids. And, we will be way hotter than the PCD. Our outfits will be sluttier, our make-up sparklier, our singing voices slightly less off-key...Just you wait!
Diddy Daddy?

There is a rumor that reality star turned pop tart Aubrey O'Day is pregnant with Diddy's baby.
I don't know if it's true, but I watched Making the Band and she certainly stared at him like she wanted to be his baby mama.
That being said, I don't think Danity Kane could weather a pregnancy. She won't fit into her hotpants anymore.
America's Next Top Drag King

Last night, Tyra had all the models dress up as dudes and pose with drag queens. Some of the pictures were great, and I am officially Natasha's #1 fan.
She was the "hip hop" guy and she turned on the model magic. Plus, I also really love watching her sweet talk the judges and chat on the phone with her 50-year-old mail-order husband.
Pour a little out...

Last night, my favorite Pussycat Doll was sent packin'.
Sisely danced to the beat of her own DJ, but the judges were too blind to appreciate her greatness. Did plastic surgery pull their eyes too tight to see her glory? We may never know...

Does anyone watch The Apprentice anymore? I watch it (because I watch everything), but it's been years since I've found another person to dicuss it with. I'm pretty sure I'm the only viewer left.
On this week's show, Trump said he has the "top show on television." He must be a top secret producer on American Idol. Hehe.
How many dolls does it take to make a girl group?

The Pussycat Doll show on CW is my new favorite.
It's produced by the same dude who produces Top Model and it is Da Bomb.
Basically, they are looking for a new chick to join the Pussycat Dolls. And, there is lots of crying and fighting. It's great!
On the first episode, all the potential dolls started throwing up while heavily made up, and I was hooked.
AND, they kicked a girl off for being too slutty. Where do you draw the line, Pussycat Dolls? Where do you draw the line?

Dear Top Design,
You are no Project Runway. You can't hold a candle to Top Chef. You have the worst elimination line in the history of reality television...
But still, I love you.
Tonight, I will watch every minute of your brightly -colored mess, ashamed, yet, unable to look away.
You can stay.
Sincerely,

ANTM Makeovers!

It was makeover night on America's Next Top Model and, sadly, everyone took their makeovers fairly well. It's too bad because watching models cry over spilled hair is usually the highlight of the season.
I don't even remember the name of the girl that was kicked off, but I'm sure she will have a long and successful career as a slightly prettier than average Wendy's cashier. ;)

Not since the Family Edition have the producers of The Amazing Race made such a colossal mistake...
They cut Rob and Amber!!!!!!!!!
DUDE! Someone needed to tell Phil that if he saw Rob and Amber coming in last, it was automatically a non-elimination leg!!!
Oh, cruel world, why must you make me watch 10 episodes with all the boring teams trying to play nice?
Sigh.

I love America's Next Top Model! Every year, I think, "How can they possibly stay fierce enough for another season?" But, Miss Tyra never dissapoints.
I can only hope and pray that this season brings another appearance by the aswirl twins.
Welcome!
